Don’t cry, Jedi, Sith, Stormtroopers, Smugglers, and Battle Droids. EA announced today that it is extending the open beta test for Star Wars: Battlefront II, which it had planned to end today, to Wednesday, October 11.

Battlefront II releases on November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Beta tests give studios a way to test a game with actual players before it comes out. But these beta also serve as marketing tools. It’s like a demo that can give people a chance to try the game and potentially spread buzz. Extending a beta like this can also garner some goodwill.

We’ve been enjoying Battlefront 2‘s beta, especially finding the new class-based system an improvement over the custom load-outs from the last game. Battlefront 2 also features maps and characters from all three Star Wars eras, while the first focused on the original trilogy.

Battlefront 2 has been receiving criticism from players for its loot crate system. You can use either in-game currency or real money to open digital chests that contain in-game items. Some of these are cosmetics, like victory poses, but many are new guns or abilities that change the way you play. Other games, like Overwatch, only give out cosmetic items in their loot boxes.
